Upskilling Senior Managers for Performance Management

IKS Health wanted to upskill the directors and senior managers with a learning program, focusing on leadership development and performance management. The following are the competencies they were looking for their leaders with over 10 to 15 years of experience:ย

Activating KNOLSKAPEโ€™s Holistic Learning Framework

KNOLSKAPE in collaboration with IKS Health designed and executed a four-day Instructor-led Training program was organized for 60 leaders across platforms in two cohorts in Mumbai and one in Hyderabad, respectively. ย

A holistic 4 Hs framework was used in this program, using the head, heart, habit and hands for the complete understanding of the competencies the company wanted to achieve.ย

KNOLSKAPEโ€™s Immersive Simulations Adding Value to the Program

| Grand Prix: Critical Thinking for Better Decision Makingย 

The Grand Prix simulation was designed to enhance participants’ critical thinking and decision-making capabilities. By placing participants in a dynamic and high-pressure virtual environment, this simulation replicated real-world scenarios where they had to:ย 

  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets to identify actionable insights.ย 
  • Navigate competing and sometimes conflicting priorities to achieve predefined objectives.ย 
  • Balance short-term wins with long-term strategic goals, requiring a clear understanding of trade-offs and their consequences.ย 

The simulation encouraged participants to think on their feet, fostering a deeper understanding of how critical thinking principles could be applied to solve business problems effectively. By tackling these challenges, participants learned to make informed, data-driven decisions under uncertainty, a skill crucial for their roles in the company’s Product Development Team.ย

This simulation was designed to help participants build leadership capabilities by putting them in the role of a team manager. To succeed, participants used a variety of leadership styles in response to their team memberโ€™s needs, as well as tough situations, that emerged within the simulation.โ€ฏย

| Coaching Sim: Coaching for Performanceย 

This simulation helped participants learn the essentials of coaching. As the Manager/Director of a team with ambitious targets, the participants were required to identify gaps, address each member’s needs for upskilling, make the right choices, and coach team members into achieving their individual goals.ย 

| EI@Work: Developing Emotional Intelligenceย 

KNOLSKAPEโ€™s EI@Work simulation puts participants in the role of the leader of a team that is in a state of disharmony following a major organizational event. As the leaders at IKS Health dealt with the challenges thrown at them in this simulation, they realized their strengths and blind spots in the emotional management of themselves and their team members. This simulation illustrated how the teams need for empathetic leadership can coexist with the organizations need for business performance.ย 

Impact

The program helped IKS Healthโ€™s leaders to Identify and appreciate the need for data -based decision making and uncover the challenges and significance of critical thinking at work. The organization also witness that the participants who took this journey:ย 

  • Displayed greater sense of emotional intelligence and empathy for better relationships.ย 
  • Were able to lead the transformational teams better and are already on the road to become impactful leader.ย
