I recently had a very insightful discussion with a dean of an Indian B-School. He said something very interesting. When you go to an engineering college, you feel like an engineer because you conduct experiments in a lab.
When you go to a medical college, you are exposed to reality through practice surgeries that are conducted in operating theaters. But when you go to a management school, all you see is the building and a bunch of power point slides.
He said there is a need to introduce management labs in B-schools, where students can get exposed to reality through experiments. This is completely in line with our thinking at KNOLSKAPE. We are powering the management lab at many B-schools and bringing in the element of reality in management education and training.
