Otherwise known as Gamification, “Learnification” involves using familiar gaming techniques to train employees (on-boarding). With this combination, employees are placed in a fun learning environment to improve engagement and morale.

Gamification benefits project managers the most, as the games are, oftentimes, scenario-based and offer specific skills set that employees will need for certain projects. In other words, Learnification benefits employees because they are learning new things on the job, and it is beneficial to the employer because it is a cost-effective way to increase the skills of the employees.

When developing your Learnification strategy, remember five things:

  • Understand your learners
  • Make objectives clear and impact measurable
  • Keep it simple
  • Make it fun!
  • Incorporate multiple learning mediums
